did about 50 km today....... up and out of Columbus. GOOD ride, exhausted, but good times. Single speed on my World Tourist.
Also.. on my first fixie:
I think I might sell the fixie on ebay.
I love how this bike came out, but I think it deserves a more appreciative home, I just love my world tourist too much. Not sure.....
What do you think I can get for it?
hehhee, like when i first started my on-line shop... did i sell something? how about now? now?

ugh! I know! This weekend will be interesting, eh?
Ah, and here's my new ride... a 12 speed vintage (80's or 90's, not sure yet) Nishiki Sport! Ain't she BAD ASS! I'm keeping her a 12 speed, for sure. My new long distance ride.
WOOT!
60+ miles, 100 km today.
I'm exhausted!
Are you eating your energy bars?
Coming along nicely though Tsuru, 100km is definitely a milestone - congratulations!!!
Little hint - recovery is the most important thing for a cyclist otherwise youll be forever sick and depressed about not being able to ride your bike.
What i do is take my heart-rate every morning when im training properly - if its higher than normal it means that you havent recovered from yesterday and you need to take it super easy today.

oh crap, they are just now getting ready to go over the mountain, I think he said 44 kms UP.

well.. I recovered by eating and drinking tons of fluids before heading to the mall to buy some new books (Michael Ian Black and the next in the series after Chindi) we walked around, then saw a movie (Mamma Mia), went to JoAnn Fabrics for the ladies then headed home for my favourite meal before passing out on the couch.
Feel pretty good today, a little sore, but pretty good.

Yeah when i first started i just rode as much as i could whenever i could, its soo addictive. but after a while you become sore all the time, tired all the time and sick every second week.

trying to pace myself, with my youngest here for the month, commuting to work is out, so I'm doing 3 times a week early in the morning, 20 miles on tues & thurs, then something big on saturday.
Once I commute again (if I do, is 18 miles enough?) it should be much easier.
