Baby's Caliente..... straight bars, bar tape, ready to rock n' roll... We did 11 miles together. She (and her caliente) kicked ass!

Time for you to get a speedo Tsuru! Get one with cadence capabilities (pedal speed)
65-85 rpm if you want legs like this
90-110 rpm if you wanna be fit like

I was wearing my bike shorts this weekend for the first time, but found them slippery on the seat. Extra cushioning was nice though.

Your seat may be too low or too high.
An easy way to check is - hop on the bike and put your cranks at a quarter to three.
Using a bit of string with a weight on the end, place the string on your front knee and let it hang down.
The string should line up with the big toe 'knuckle'. i.e. the toe joint closest to your leg.

Not sure if they had green, but I'll check next time I'm there! they're not expensive, so I'm sure we can work something out!

man... what a SHITTY morning!!! stomach problems, but got straight to ride in, riding in with my friend Patrick, his first time, so I was his guide for the path....
no problem, good pacing, blamo, hit some glass and I blow a tire, didn't have a tube & patchkit (because UPS keeps using their "discretion" to NOT leave my package on my porch)...
draw a map for patrick and start calling baby to get me.
phone's downstairs, she's upstairs, asleep.
yay.
patrick calls..
he's lost.
yay.
finally get baby...
she comes and gets me (thank you baby!!)
we follow my path to see if we see patrick,
nope.
we need to stop at starbucks, my stomach again.
yay.
FINALLY get to work... patrick calls, he's alive & he made it!
but baby lost her cottage cheese she brought in for breakfast..
where? we don't know..
uh oh...
So, at lunch, going to a nearby bike shop, getting another tube (can't have too many), tire, and handpump...
will repair my bike, possibly at work, then ride home. =P
or, maybe the fates are against me and I just try again tomorrow.....
Oof.

sounds all fancy and scientific, but i'll give it a shot - need to be able to stay on the bike to ride the bike.

So for Father's Day, my husband got this child's seat for his bike:
We went for a bike ride around the lake yeterday and had an absolute blast. The great thing about this seat is that the bar mounted to the bike can stay on, but the seat can easily be removed if needed.
The seat is awesome because it doesn't throw off the balance of the bike and easy to control, moreso than the kind that sits on the back of the seat. Also we think it's better than those little trailer things you can put the child in and attach to the bike because my husband was able to go off trail a bit onto the dirt path and not have any problems.
We absolutely love it!
