Here's one of mine... And she was born in a bottle rocket, 1929 With wings that ring around a socket Right between her spine All drenched in milk and holy water Pouring from the sky I know that she will live for ever She won't ever die

That's a mean question.. I mean, there are a lot of beautiful lyrics :) I must admit, I love every song written by Maynard Jamen Keenan (Tool) especially the lyrics to "Schism" .. I could post the entire song! Also love the lyrics to "Joining You" by Alanis.. it reminds me of my best friend. Arcade Fire got loads tooo.. "You knew in five minutes, but I knew in a sentence" from Old Flame, I love.. Also Tunnels and (ATB) Man, it's hard :)

I've always thought that no one writes lyrics like Josh Ritter. The Temptation of Adam is a great example.

It's not really just the lyrics, but I love the words to A&E by Goldfrapp. It's a blue, bright blue Saturday, hey, hey...

the song is called ‘Girl with one eye’ by Florence and the Machine "I said hey, girl with one eye Get your filthy fingers out of my pie I said hey, girl with one eye I’ll cut your little heart cause you made me cryyyyyyyy“ Harsh. But therapeutic

There's a lot but the 1st one I think about is this one : I went drifting through the capitals of tin Where men can't walk or freely talk And sons turn their fathers in. I stopped outside a church house Where the citizens like to sit. They say they want the kingdom But they don't want God in it I went out riding down that old eight-lane I passed a thousand signs looking for my own name. I went with nothing but the thought you'd be there too, Looking for you. I went out there in search of experience To taste and to touch and to feel as much As a man can before he repents.
