hi, I'm Emily too, but I go by Emily Rose usually just to avoid confusion (there are too many "Emily''s in this world) I'm a die-hard Weezer fan and smoke Bali Hal's like it's my job. I also live in N. Philadelphia and haven't been mugged, raped, killed yet. Howdy Em! Where you ever on the old weezernation boards? no, i was only ever on the weezer.com boards and rarely posted. :( Ah, well, it's probably for the best, the board was loaded with assholes. Anyways, did you see that weezer updated that the new album will be out in June, single coming before it "starts with a T, is 12 letters long, ends with an R". People are speculating it's "Troublemaker" Should leak in the next 2 months, eh?

I also heard he's coming out with some type of bio on his family and himself.

"The newest registered user is: suckmyballs22" :? Welcome

"The newest registered user is: suckmyballs22" :? Welcome  Yeah, we'll get a bit of riff-raff I'm sure (not that suckmyballs is definitely riff-raff). But I'm hoping we get a solid core group who truly love vinyl and music in general. time and a bit o' patience and it'll be good. We have a great small core starting us out right, and that's most important! A great group in the beginning.

Well, I hope you are into threesomes then with him and his wife.... lol! What did you think of Alone? i don't speak of her. And Alone was great. I really wish they would have put "Chess", "Longtime Sunshine" and "I Was Made for You" on one of the Weezer records. Such good songs.

I gotta be honest, I LOVED the wretched cheesiness that was "This Is The Way"...

Hey hey, I have come via Us Kids Know, and I am a vinyl newbie. My girlfriend got me a Steepletone all-in-one player for my birthday in October, and I have had very little cash to spend on food, clothes etc since then... I have around 60 records currently, from some battered classics I picked up used (Transformer, Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, plenty of Beatles and Dylan) to some newer indie kinda stuff- Arcade Fire, Sunset Rubdown, Final Fantasy. Personal favourites include Godspeed You Black Emperor!'s Lift Your Skinny Fists, Neutral Milk Hotel's In The Aeroplane Over The Sea, Sigur Ros' Takk..., Tommy, The Joshua Tree and The Velvet Underground and Nico. Currently don't have any means of ripping vinyl, but who knows what the future may bring?

center52- 03-19-2008

Hi all, been on the site for about a week and thought i'd post here. I'm from NY, lived on Long Island until college, spent four years in DC for that, moved back to LI for almost 4 years, and made the move into New York City almost a year ago, and have been absolutely loving it. Like a few others, i came across this blog via UKK (though i had been dormant over there for a bit). Some of my favorite musicians include Arcade Fire, Bob Dylan, the Weakerthans, the Decemberists, and Broken Social Scene. Been mostly focusing on the Strip Mall/Record Store area of the site but all the vinyl talk has made me want to invest in a new turntable - my vinyl collection consists of about 50 7"s dating from my days of going to hardcore shows on Long Island, and a bunch of Promise Ring and Jimmy Eat World stuff. Hoping to expand on that soon...

Tsuru- 03-20-2008

Welcome center! I'm so glad you are here... I'll tell ya, a bunch of 7" rips would be pretty sweet!

Guarmar- 03-21-2008

Hey everyone! I'm Guarmar aka Guillermo Jose Santiago! I live in western Pa, about and hour and 15 north from Pittsburgh and an hour and an hour and 30 east of Cleveland.Being that both my parents came from Puerto Rico, I wasn't really exposed to much popular American music as a child. That, coupled with the fact that all of my family is in Puerto Rico, made for quit the interesting childhood. My screen name is derived from one of the more absurd attempts to pronounce my name by one of the local rednecks. I enjoy listening to music, and have always messed around with instruments, although never taking it too seriously. Lately however I have been trying to write some stuff and have a few projects of varying genres in the idea stages. I love to read, I grew up reading a lot of fantasy and sci-fi, my favorite author of which is Orson Scott Card.Lately I've been trying to read up on a lot of classic and traditional literature to broaden my horizons a bit. One big passion of mine is comics and I'm currently studying Professional Writing and Editing in hopes of becoming a funny book editor. My goal is editing mainly because I'm not confident enough in my abilities as a creative writer. I decided to remedy this by answering essay question in none English classes in short story format! Oh wow. I didn't intend to start writing my autobiography! I'll have to get something for those who made it all the way through!

my vinyl collection consists of about 50 7"s dating from my days of going to hardcore shows on Long Island, and a bunch of Promise Ring and Jimmy Eat World stuff. I'd love to hear some rips from that collection. It seems like most of this board is strictly indie type stuff, but me, I personally love a lot of hardcore and punk.
