these crates landed in my house today! they are my wife's godfather's - who passed. his daughter passed them on to us...yay! no. i am not being insensitive. his death has long passed and my wife is just as happy. he was also an photographer so we have a lot of pictures of bands from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. like KISS from 1976, ZZ Top before beards. Pete Townsend pulling off his signature windmill and jump. it's friggin' awesome. I'll make it a point to scan a couple pics from his archives when i rip and post. my favorite is a girl with her hands on her forehead as she peeks out from under them, obviously in awe of some rock star or the other. she is at a concert in 77 and she is on someone's shoulders. it's taken from a few rows in front of her by the godfather. good stuff. historic stuff. hell, i'm only 36 but there is something to be said about the birth and childhood of american rock 'n' roll. doesn't matter if you think you've heard it all before or not.
