You saw it???
Oh man.... lucky! We are seeing it Sunday afternoon to avoid the messy crowds, then having a BBQ. Don't worry, you'll hear my input.
I'm pretty excited.
Duh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh.... BATMAN!

I am a lucky girl who remains friendly with an ex-boyfriend who works for WMMR 93.3.
I have to say, I didn't want to believe the Heath Ledger hype, but wow...incredible!

Just got back from the local midnight showing at my theater!
I keep saying things like this this summer, and usually I'm adamantly against it, but The Dark Knight is probably the best superhero movie I've ever seen. And, being a nerd (and geek, and dweeb) who loves all these characters, I've seen a lot.
I'll wait til' a lot of members have seen it already and posted before I give final word/analysis, but to anyone who's waiting and'll see it soon...
WHOAH.
In bold, with a period.
You guys are in for a treat.

sweet jesus! I can't wait!!!

I'm IMAX-ing it on Monday. As excited about this film as I ever have been.

already ranked #4 top movies EVER on IMDB. Only beaten by godfather, shawshank, and godfather 2. dang!

well that didn't take long!
I've already seen a torrent for the spanish language subtitled version online

dang and dang!

Okay... saw it today.'
I really liked it, very good movie, but....... it's not the Great Movie that the imdb users are tagging it with. It ran a little long, and the ferry/hostage on the building scenes got a little messy. Over all, I think it could've been edited a little bit. Ledger and Bale were great, Maggie was fine.
Good stuff, though.... I think (don't hate me) I prefered Ironman. Seemed tighter.
tsurubride- 07-20-2008
I thought Heath Ledger was amazing, but I think I prefer the first Bale Batman movie. I also preferred Ironman - and no - not just because of the hawtness that is Robert Downey Jr. - just the overall pace of the movie and how I felt leaving the theatre. Anyone know who the villian may be in the 3rd Batman movie?
Oh I did love though that they didn't do the cheesy sequel thing of leaving you hanging and not really ending the movie so that you have to see the 3rd one (I'm looking at you Back to the Future **shakes fist**)

there's a rumor that they are considering Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Mr. Penguin...
Tsuru- 07-22-2008
Penguin? I knew it! He had to be next.
Eldoon- 07-22-2008
Penguin or Riddler would probably fit best in the next movie, as Nolan's Batman universe is much more "real" than some of the more out-there comic Gotham rogues gallery.
They even alluded to Riddler being in the next one, too, his alias is in one of the editorials on the Gotham Times viral website: http://thegothamtimes.com/issue2/page2.htm
"Edward Nashton"
Interesting!

I finally saw it today. I'm not a comic book or superhero guy at all, and I thought this flick was outstanding.
Going in I didn't think there was any way that Heath Ledger's performance would live up to the hype, but it did.
I'm going to make this pencil disappear....
