Ok, well, as my favourite band is U2, Shyamalan is one of my favourite director and fuck you all
I'm gonna see it in one hour. I'm so impatient. I've managed to stay away from spoiler but the trailer promessed something big and beautiful

I liked his older movies, but I felt is past few movies, the "twist" are a bit gimmicky. Why does he always need to have twist?
I think it's the strange death that's inticing me to see this.... well, that and Zooey.
;)

Can't we just see Ironman again?

I don't agree, the only movie where there's a twist is 6th sense... Shyamalan spectators always expecting a twist, and there're always disapointed...
I just come back from the cinema, and it was fucking hard but fucking amazing. I hate him for obliged me to see this, but I love him for what he's doing.
I didn't expect anyone to like the movie, cause there's a sort of "kabbale" against him but it's a disturbing, and very great, beautiful movie. I don't want to spoil but some sequences are incredible

yeah? Cool! getting more excited....
as for the twists, remember in the village? the twist was that there were no monsters, it was that guy, and they weren't in a different world/time/land, it was just an isolated park..

Oh no, I don't think it's a twist, really! It's just a logical situation (oh I wish I could speak a better english, i can't express myself properly  )
Shyamalan didn't insinuated that it was a different world/time/land, that's not important at all in the narration!

ah, good point, true true.... we jumped to that conclusion early on, and then were proven wrong. I get ya.
I didn't see the lady in the water, so I can't comment on that.... was that good?

That was crazy and kinda strange. I liked it, but perhaps I'm not very objective. A lot of people didn't get the movie, but you just have to tell you that it's only a fairy tale, and you don't have to understand. Sometimes, people are too down-to-earth to enjoy art! :o

I think I'm going to make a double feature of The Happening and The Hulk. By the way, I wanted to like Lady in the Water, but I just didn't. My favorite Shyamalan film is Unbreakable. Hopefully The Happening will lean more toward that end of the M Night spectrum. I have to disagree with you on The Village. The end was totally a "twist" to the viewer regardless of any greater omniscient logic. The viewer was made to believe one thing by virtue of the fact that there was wasn't any evidence to the contrary on which to base an alternate opinion. I hated it when I first saw it, but when viewed as a political allegory (those in power keep control by cultivating the illusion of some lurking, unseen evil then promising protection from said evil to those that follow their mandates and rules...familiar, huh?), it's not too bad
