The worst songs by good bands...?
:?: Since I'm still in a REM mode, I'll put out "Shiny Happy People" (though, I admit to liking the cheesetastic song every now & then). From our boys at Weezer, maybe "My Best Friend" (oof.) Which do you think?

Even though it's technically a Rivers Cuomo song and not a Weezer track (even though it was suppose to be on Red), I would say the worst thing they ever did was "This Is The Way". I throw up a little in my mouth every time I hear it.

Not genuinely good, but laughably good, you follow? Did you see that it almost made it onto The Red Album (aka Album Six)..?

When U2 did "With or Without You" I knew it was the end of their career... although the video contains the best example of side-boob ever seen on TV.

Haha shiny happy people was probably my first real exposure to REM, probably why I'm not that much of a fan. :wink: Also, how can you mention a bad Weezer song without Beverly Hills? HUH!?

You should try driving around singing it with someone who hates (in a good way) it just as much as you do. But yah, Rivers shutting that one down was quite possibly his greatest move since, like, ever (or at least in the last ten years).

Counting Crows: the song is New Frontier, and also that damn Big Yellow Taxi with what's her name doing the back up vocals... Natalie imbruglia? Can't stand that one!

Counting Crows, good band, a lot more talented than most will give credit for... Not familiar with New Frontier though.

It's the 8th track off of Hard Candy. it just bugs me.....
