A friend strongly recommended (I'm not sure why), but I'm slowly trudging through and in too deep to quit now. Just finished: and would recommend it. The main character is exasperating at times, but an entertaining read nonetheless.

The main character is exasperating at times, but an entertaining read nonetheless. I've read Slammerkin and one of her other books. Tempted now to pick that badboy up as well... ahhhh.... too many books!!!

Just started. Quite an insight on our consumption practices and the politics around it.

Reading Jane Eyre in my free time and The Great Gatsby for school. Jane Eyre is one of my favorite classics, and definitely my favorite novel of the three Bronte sisters'. So, Im the multitasker that reads like millions of books at the same time, because well, sometimes I need something to do during the summer other than sitting in front of the computer screen. For the third time, I'm reading The Other Boleyn Girl. Which is a spicy take on the Henry VIII era in the midst of the Boleyn controversies. Fabulous, and addictive, the kind of book you can read on repeat. Just finished This book is a much different intake on the side of Morgaine, Arthur's half sister, and Guenevere. Quite addicting despite it's significant length.

That sounds good. I'm picking up The Mermaid Chair next, but wanted to point you to some ebooks http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Bibliomania_%28Bookshelf%29 I downloaded the 2 bookish classics by Christopher Morley for reading on my pda. Anyone with an iphone will soon be able to read ebooks too.

How did you like the Bees? I can't wait for the movie! Just getting into:

tsurubride- 07-20-2008

Bees was amazing! Just cranked through it, and was warm and tingly on the insides when I finished. Dakota Fanning is in the movie?? Oh no, my crush Paul Bettany is her dad! Have you read the time traveller's wife? i'm worried about that movie too. i just loved the book so much that i don't know how they can do it justice.

No, but I've just added it to my list. Thanks! Are you into ebooks? Here's some classics like Camus, Kafka, Joyce, Douglas Adams, etc http://www.pauladaunt.com/books/ P.S. I did not tell you Madonna's Sex is in there!

Tsuru- 07-21-2008

Nah, she's a book nerd... her books are her trophies! ebooks, you lose the satisfaction of having them on a shelf. And Sex. Classic madonna, before she got all manly.
